Vatican II

Fifty years ago in Rome, the bishops of the world gathered at the second Vatican Council to chart a new direction for the Church, responding to the new challenges emerging from a changed world following the Second World War.

While meeting new challenges of an emerging new world order, the church had to also hold fast faithfully to the heritage of faith that was passed down.

What we are moving towards in this new millennium of Christianity is to recover once again the genius of the early Christian communities. Before even any ministries arose, the early Christians saw themselves in terms of a community.

Come forward and be counted. Be part of this new venture that requires the active participation and ownership of everyone to be Church in Singapore.
