Social Committee

The Social Committee is responsible for organising various social functions of the parish. Formed in December 1986, the Committee's first project was the Children's Christmas Party held that same month. Other early events included a Parish Family Day and a major function in January 1987, attended by some 500 people, to welcome Fr. Brian Lester and bid farewell to Fr. Bob Matthews.

Since then, the Committee has organised tours to Malaysia and pilgrimages to Lourdes and the Holy Land. For the past four years, it has taken charge of the annual Parish Easter Dinner and Dance and Parish Food and Fun Fair to raise funds for the new church building.
